Eric E. Ludin

Eric Ludin is originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in 1979, with honors. He received his JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1982.

Mr. Ludin is a former Assistant State Attorney in Pinellas County where was assigned to the consumer fraud division. Since 1985, he has engaged in private practice, concentrating on immigration law, securities litigation, general and commercial litigation, intellectual property disputes, commercial landlord/tenant conflicts and personal injury litigation. He is an AV peer rated attorney with the Martindale-Hubbell peer rating review service. This is the highest rating for legal ability and professional ethics.

Memberships and leadership positions

Mr. Ludin was President of the St. Petersburg Bar Association from 2000 - 2001. He served as President of the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation from 2004 - 2006. He had previously served as Treasurer for the St. Petersburg Bar and has been an active member on various committees including having served as Law Week chair. Mr. Ludin served as the chair of the 6th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee "E" of the Florida Bar and has served as an expert witness for the Florida Bar on attorney ethics issues. He was an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers.

He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Public Investor Arbitration Bar Association.

He was honored with the 2004 Diversity Award presented by the Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association in appreciation of his commitment to supporting diversity in the legal profession. In January 2009, Ludin received the "Heroes Among Us" award from the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation recognizing his service to the community. He was selected as one of the "Tampa Bay's Top Lawyers" in the July/August 2010 Tampa Bay Magazine. He is a member of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.

Lectures and publications

Mr. Ludin has lectured and written on matters involving securities law. He has also lectured on the subject of commercial landlord/tenant conflicts and has authored several articles relating to office practice and management.

Community activities

He is currently serving as Chair of Menorah Manor, a not-for- profit geriatric and rehabilitation center in St. Petersburg. He is President of the CASA Foundation (Community Action Stops Abuse) and the Chairman of the West Florida leadership council of the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. Mr. Ludin is past President of his synagogue, Congregation B'nai Israel of St. Petersburg. He is also a past chairman of the annual campaign of the Pinellas County Jewish Federation. He is a recipient of the Jewish Federation's Edward N. Ludin young leadership award, a prestigious award named in memory of his father.
